Job Summary:
Join us and work within the Finance organization, the Financial Analyst will support a unique line of business and provide accurate and timely analysis to various members of the management team. This role requires the individual to be proactive and respond to rapid shifts in strategy and the environment. This role is not designed for someone looking to run standard monthly reports, but for someone looking to strongly contribute to a changing organization and challenge status-quo mentality.
Major Responsibilities:
* Provides comprehensive and complex financial analysis.
* Produces and maintains complex financial models, reporting, and presentations.
* Supports loan portfolio modeling and management.
* Analyzes and communicates the drivers of loan profitability, including loan pricing, internal transfer pricing, and Bank capital rules.
* Works independently with assigned business unit(s) validating, preparing and analyzing budget variances, financial statements, ad hoc reports, and financial forecasts to determine business unit profitability.
* Independently summarizes conclusions of analysis for use by management.
* Comfortable interacting with Sr. Management, making presentations, and strategic recommendations.
* Able to work collaboratively across all FP&A teams, identifying best practices and process efficiencies.
* Validates data for and creates reports on variances from established budgets for assigned business unit(s).
* Investigates the reasons for those variances and provides summaries and recommendations accordingly.
* Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Additional Information:
* Requires a degree from a four-year college (e.g., B.A., B.S.)
* 2-5 years financial analyst experience
* Significant experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
* Sound knowledge in Financial modeling
* Highly motivated and a self-starter
* SQL experience a plus
* Excellent communication and networking skills.
* Ability to work well with other professionals
* Proven ability to meet deadlines
* Professional writing skills
